Gutter Replacement

Replacement That Actually Fixes the Drainage

Patching old gutters wastes money. When seams leak, slopes are wrong, or downspouts can’t keep up, the only real fix is a full replacement with seamless aluminum sized for your roof.

Signs to Watch
How Do You Know You Need Replacement?

Most gutter problems build slowly. By the time you see staining on your fascia or water pooling near your foundation, the damage has been compounding for a while. Here are the clearest signs your gutters are past the point of patching.

If you’re seeing more than one of these, replacement is almost always the smarter investment over another round of patching and caulking.

Gutter Products
Gutter Products We Install

We stock a focused lineup of aluminum gutter products. Every option is seamless, formed on-site, and built to handle Minnesota weather without the maintenance headaches of steel or vinyl.

Standard 5-Inch Aluminum Gutters

The industry standard for most residential roofs. Five-inch seamless aluminum handles typical rain loads and fits the existing fascia on the majority of Minnesota homes. This is the default unless your roof or lot calls for something bigger.

Oversized 6-Inch Aluminum Gutters

One inch wider makes a real difference on steep-pitch roofs, long runs, or homes surrounded by heavy tree cover. Six-inch gutters move roughly forty percent more water per minute, which keeps overflow from damaging fascia and foundation.

Heavier-Gauge Aluminum

Standard residential gutters are .027-gauge aluminum. We also carry .032-gauge for homeowners who want extra rigidity — useful on long unsupported spans or in areas with heavy ice and snow load. Same seamless forming, just a thicker wall.

Downspouts (2×3 and 3×4)

Gutters are only half the system. We match every gutter run with properly sized downspouts — 2×3 for standard five-inch gutters, 3×4 for six-inch or high-volume runs — and route them to keep water well away from the foundation.

FAQs
Common Gutter Replacement Questions

Absolutely. A great roof with poor drainage details can still create recurring exterior and interior problems. Water management is part of protecting the whole home.

If they are pulling away, leaking at seams, overflowing, undersized, sloped poorly, or causing staining and drainage problems, it may be time to replace them instead of just patching sections.

Sometimes absolutely. On larger or steeper roofs, or homes that move a lot of water fast, larger gutters can improve performance significantly.

Standard gutters are open systems that can work very well when sized and sloped correctly. LeafGuard is a proprietary one-piece covered gutter concept that can be a good fit when the homeowner wants that specific type of system and understands the cost difference.

Usually when the home has a debris issue that creates repeated clogging, overflow, or maintenance headaches. It should solve a real problem, not just sound good in a sales pitch.

Based on roof layout, runoff volume, drainage path, foundation protection, and how the home actually sheds water. Downspout layout should be designed, not guessed.

Yes. Poor drainage can create staining, rot, erosion, foundation moisture issues, and winter ice problems.

Heavy snow loads, sliding snow, ice buildup, and freeze-thaw cycles all stress gutters and downspouts. That is why material choice, hanger spacing, drainage, and snow retention all matter here.
